Wizardbrush Editor's Review

Wizardbrush is a painting application, for both beginners and experienced users. Painting is fun for kids and adults alike, and with this tool is even more interesting. Kids will love painting with Wizardbrush, because of the nice interface that looks just like a game's interface. By default, there are 3D object cursors, like the real paint brushes, transparent windows that can hide to allow you to see all the canvas, and amusing sounds that accompany everything you do.

This application has all sorts of brushes and other instruments that you can use, like the air brush, the watercolor brush, the oil paint brush, paint tube, marker, etc. You can customize the brushes, by setting the size, the opacity, the roundness, the angle, etc.

It has nice features, like layers that can have different transparency levels, and that support blending modes, a magic wand tool which can draw 3D objects, for example fruits, leaves, grass, shells, and cartoon clip art objects. There are many filters you can apply to your drawings, or to the images you can edit with Wizardbrush, for more interesting effects, and you can also do other adjustments, like setting the brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, etc. Images can be imported from a specific folder or directly from scanner or other TWAIN compliant device.

You can save your work as a TIFF, JPEG, GIF, TGA, BMP or PCX image file, set it as desktop wallpaper or just print it on paper.

Pluses: Nice interface, nice filters and brushes.

Drawbacks / flaws: It crashed a few times while I was drawing.

In conclusion: I'm looking forward to further development of this software. You can do nice drawings with it.
